Beneficiary of the week: Soft Touch Bakery

Soft Touch Bakery cooperative was formed after the NYDA had conducted a community mobilisation initiative, followed by the Entrepreneurship Development Training in Cradock, Eastern Cape. The business currently operates at Lingelihle Township.

These aspiring entrepreneurs were assisted through the Port Elizabeth branch to formalise their structure and register the cooperative. They subsequently applied and was approved the NYDA Grant Funding to the value of R49 000 to purchase equipment and stock.
Like any aspiring entrepreneur and growing business, some of the goals of the cooperative involve becoming a well-recognised player in the Bakery and Food Processing industry, as well as to help disadvantaged people with the same background as theirs.
