Beneficiary of the week: Themba Mkwane
Themba Mkwane (35) from Kroonstad, Free State, was awarded the NYDA Grant Fund to the value of R44 000 for his business, Preximent. He also received the NYDA Voucher for branding and marketing as part of the non-financial business support through the Free State Branch.
His business currently has four (4) full-time young employees who are responsible for over-all administration and customer care. Preximentt provides visual marketing services, with its main focus on local businesses across Free State including Kroonstad, Welkom, Bethlehem and Sasolburg. One of the long-term plans involve expanding the operations of the business to other Provinces.
The additional focus areas of the business are directed to business support and development by assisting start-ups and small businesses to comply with all relevant regulations set in order to ensure free-flow of business activities. As such, Preximent provides services such as (but not limited to) Business Registrations, Business Documents Request and Business Advisory and Consultancy.
However, the company is not only driven by generating profit but it also has altruistic conducts directed to the well-being of the community. Preximent has distributed sanitary towels to ten (10) local schools and intends to do so, continuously.
“I wish to appreciate from the bottom of my heart the intervention done by NYDA. It has been a fruitful and exciting journey that has improved my business and created much needed full-time employment, particularly for our youth,” said Themba.
