National Youth Day Commemoration 2017
The year 2017 marks 41 years since the June 16, 1976 which saw young people in Soweto lose their lives in a fight against the apartheid government for freedom and the creation of a democratic state. The uprising spread throughout the country and saw even more young people lose their lives.
Each year in June, as a country we commemorate Youth Month as an act of remembrance and celebration of the youth of 1976 who took a bold stand which had a significant impact in the history of South Africa.
