NYDAs support to starting Businesses

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) offers many services to starting or existing businesses:

  • Business Consulting Services Voucher: These are services designed to help youth-owned business set up, expand or develop their businesses.  To receive vouchers and make use of NYDAs  Business Consulting Services, you must be aged 18 to 35 or a woman of any age . You can access this service at any Youth Advisory Centre. You must have a clear vision of the business you want to start, as well as realistic goals. go to BCSV
  • BOSS: Database for youth-owned businesses and procurers to register and search for business and procurement opportunities go to BOSS
  • Entrepreneurship Education Training: training aimed at helping young people understand the concepts and principles of entrepreneurship and business go to EE
  • Micro Loans: loans between R1 000 and R100 000 go to Micro Loans
  • SME Funding: loans between R100 001 and R10 million go to SM funding
  • Volunteer Mentorship: volunteer to become a businees mentor or sign up to be mentored by a business person go to ViA page
  • Cooperative training: training for young people on the fundamentals of establishing and managing a youth cooperative business go to Cooperative Training
